Clarion.Net has a .NET Integrated Development Environment with an implementation
of the Clarion programming language running on .NET. Dubbed as Clarion#, it
has been extended to take full advantage of the .Net Framework. CCS is one
of the few companies in India having expertise in Clarion and now moving towards
Clarion 7 and Clarion.Net.
Clarion is a data - centric Advanced Rapid Application Development (ARAD) tool that
supports both Flat files and RDBMS. Clarion’s Object Oriented approach
ensures re-usability of codes thus saving considerable development time Code generation
based on templates /metadata, which is an important feature of Clarion, helps to
ensure standards, reduce coding time, eliminate errors, and bring projects to completion
in record time. Clarion 6 broadens support for data access, and smoothly integrates
additional support for XML, ADO and SQL. Clarion 6 adds new support for client-side
Triggers, Business Rules collections, Report Generators that can output reports
to PDF, HTML, XML and TEXT, native support for RichText, and the mapping of relational
data to XML elements.
CCS Technologies started using Clarion, way back in 1992. Initially we used
the DOS based Clarion Professional Developer, and then migrated to Clarion Database
Developer and Clarion for Windows Version 2. Currently we are using Clarion
version 6.3, moving towards Clarion Version 7 and Clarion.NET. Our solutions in
Clarion best suits various organizations ranging from large to small and medium
business houses.
